Suicidal ideation: Medical term for the condition of having suicidal thoughts or morbid preoccupations.
So my last trip to the ER started with helping two patients with suicidal ideation. Of course hospital is not the happiest place in the world but these guys appeared as if their lives were already ruined. One doctor told me that these guys weren't really going to commit suicide but did and enjoyed inflicting pain on their bodies. Obviously these guys were being treated since they were in a hospital. Both of them were sitting on a chair and buried their heads below their knees. It appeared that they were homeless. Nurse K was going to perform regular IV on'em to see if there was any chemical imbalance. They didn't utter a word, but when nurse K went up to them (she was rather attractive), these guys' mood changed 180 degrees (which leads me to a theory that the best medical treatment for suicidals is to take'em to a strip club). They no longer showed signs of suicidal ideation when they asked "Ms K, is this gonna hurt? I don't want a big needle."
I guess they didn't really plan things out, or MAYBE they did.
